Despite committing five errors and allowing eight hits, the San Benito High baseball team beat Gilroy 9-4 Friday to with its sixth-straight Tri-County Athletic League game.

Luis Magana cleared a personal-best 13-feet, 9-inches in the pole vault during Gilroy High's Tri-County Athletic League dual meet at Salinas High on Thursday.

The meet location is different, but don't expect anything less than stellar performances at Friday's 34th annual Top 8 Invitational hosted by Los Gatos High School.
