GILROY—Alec Cordova saved his best game for last.

GILROY—Both Live Oak and Gilroy had off quarters Friday night in the Bob Hagen Tournament semifinals.

GILROY—The Cougars looked to be falling into the same trap they had against Oakwood—then the second half happened.

GILROY—While the rain was coming down outside, it was raining baskets inside of Gilroy High.

After losing its home opener by a lone goal, the Christopher boys soccer team rebounded in a big way. 

It took the Mustangs about 10 minutes to find their groove against Greenfield and once they did, they were practically unstoppable.

GILROY—North Salinas had no answer for Jamie Boutee.

GILROY—With progress comes change.

GILROY—It’s been quite a season for Jacob Moen and the Christopher football team. The senior linebacker and tight end helped the Cougars to a Monterey Bay League Pacific Division title, a Central Coast Section playoff berth, their fourth straight Severance Bowl title as well as retaining the South County Championship crown for the second year in a row.

After dropping its first game of the Aptos Tournament, Christopher rebounded with two big wins to close it out.
