The Gavilan men’s soccer team takes a three-game win streak into today’s home finale against Skyline, looking to keep itself in the postseason hunt.

The biggest game involving a local team this weekend is happening out of town. And it isn't on Friday night.

On Sept. 20, the Christopher High volleyball team lost a 3-2 match to Alisal. It turned out to be the last defeat the Cougars endured in the Monterey Bay League Pacific Division this season.

The Gilroy High and Christopher High football teams will both try to play the role of spoiler tonight, challenging teams with a combined 8-1 record in the Monterey Bay league’s Gabilan Division.

Christopher High volleyball defeated Alvarez 3-1 on Tuesday to hold its one-match lead over Monterey in the Monterey Bay League Pacific Division heading into tonight’s season finale against none other than the Toreadores.
