Christopher’s freshmen duo of Jamie Boutte’ (19 minutes, 56 seconds) and Natalie Filippi (21:24) placed first and third, respectively, but the varsity girls fell shy of the top spot at the second Monterey Bay League Pacific Division Center Meet of the season Wednesday at Toro Park.

Mills scored four times - three in the first half - as the Cougars set the tone and tipped its Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division opener in its favor with a 41-19 victory over Everett Alvarez on Friday night in Gilroy.

GAVILAN: Men’s soccer, women’s volleyball earn victories Tuesday

Gavilan men's soccer head coach Justin Johnson called the Rams 2-0 victory over Coast Conference opponent Evergreen on Tuesday “really big.” Johnson needed only to point to last year's meeting between the two schools for one reason to explain why - Gavilan lost that one 7-0.
