The Hollister Free Lance is again sponsoring its annual “No Tricks, Just Treats” Halloween celebration on Oct. 30. Fun for the whole family, the event is a must for parents with young children who would like to enjoy a special Halloween with the little monsters and still be able to mix it up with all the adult ghouls and goblins who will be out well past the kids’ bedtime.

The event features: A kids’ costume parade (ages 12 and under) that winds through the downtown area, starting and ending at the Free Lance; a costume contest with prizes donated by the Hollister Downtown Association for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in two age categories; free goodie bags to the first 200 kids who register, with bags containing small toys and toothbrushes (donated by local dentists and San Benito Bank); and a free kids’ movie at Premiere Cinemas.

The costume contest and parade registration begins in front of the Free Lance offices at 10am; the parade starts at 11am, judging starts at 11:30am and the movie starts at 12:30pm.

The Free Lance is located at 350 Sixth St., Hollister. For more information about “No Tricks, Just Treats,” contact Denise Cauthen-Wright at (831) 637-5566 ext. 321
