Joe Manuel Salcido, wanted by police in connection with a Jan. 24 stabbing on Taft Court, surrendered.

He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.

The incident began when Salcido entered the residence in an apartment complex in the 400 block of Taft Court, looking for the victim, police said. Upon finding the man, a confrontation erupted, and the victim was stabbed. Salcido fled the scene on foot.

When officers arrived at the east Gilroy apartment complex about 8 p.m. that night, they learned the victim was taken to an area hospital. The victim’s injuries were not considered life threatening, police said.
