Gilroy – State Farm Insurance scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to shock the Good Fellas 17-16 in Men’s BB League play at Gavilan Sports Park.
Rodney Clore slapped two singles as State Farm (1-3) snapped a 10-10 tie. The Good Fellas, first in the second half with a 4-1 mark ahead of 3-1 Aladdin Bail Bonds-Rhino Wiring, managed six runs in the seventh before the final two batters were retired. Gabe Duenas homered in the Fellas seventh. Rich Perez added two homers and two singles, Charlie Muro four hits for the losers. Clore homered twice and Jade Garcia went 5-for-5 for State Farm.
David Salinas stroked two home runs in a 4-for-4 effort as Bad News tripped Dee’z Nutz 16-7. Jaime Martinez went 3-for-4 for Dee’z.
Alvin Ganadan went 4-for-4 as the Mechanics defeated Maui Tacos Dynamite 16-4. Mike Gonzalez Sr. singled and triples for Dynamite.
Pacific Coast Bail Bonds is 3-0 in second-half play in the Men’s C League after a 17-11 nod over Ascent Electrical Tuesday at Las Animas Park.
Daniel Vasquez and Eddie Gomez each homered for the winners. Gilbert Salgado homered, tripled and singled for Ascent.
Ascent dropped a 21-20 decision to K’s Dogs. Tim Sorci snapped a 20-20 tie with a run-scoring single with two out in the final frame. Danny Gonzalez went 4-for-4 for K’s Dogs, Charlie Campa 4-for-4 for Ascent.
Steve Welsh went 4-for-4 and Dave Hill and David Rose each went 3-for-3 as the Titans defeated the Assassins 15-9 in Men’s DD play Tuesday. Alex Ortiz went 3-for-3 for the Assassins.
