Lady Mustang paddlers top Spirits.
SALINAS – The Lady Mustang swim team defeated Notre Dame in Thursday’s road meet, 96-83 – placing first in 11 of 13 events.

The 200 medley relay team finished with a first-place time of 2:05.15 and the other Gilroy relay unit placed third with a time of 2:23.42.

In the 200 freestyle, Kim Spaulding touched first with a time of 2:11.30 and teammate Rosanna Rosso was second with a time of 2:24.77.

In the 200 individual medley, Sally Highashi led the pack with a first-place time of 2:32.23.

In the 50 freestyle, Lindsay Bean touched first with a time of 27.48.

In the 100 butterfly, Spaulding finished first with a time of 1:07.04 and Higashi followed with a second-place time of 1:08.08.

In the 100 freestyle, Been took first place with a time of 59.00 and Lorella Palao was second in 59.86.

In the 500 freestyle, Rosso was first with a time of 6:14.91.

In the 100 backstroke, Palao placed first with a time of 1:07.50.

In the 200 freestyle relay, Gilroy finished second with a time of 2:03.88.

In the 100 breaststroke, C. Jones was first in 1:25.72 and A. Jensen was second in 1:29.23.

In the 400 freestyle relay, Gilroy touched first with a time of 4:08.09.
