Dear Editor:

It’s time for The Dispatch to take Dennis Taylor’s box of crayons from him. His weekly Philippic becomes increasingly impercipient with each stroke of his little pink crayola. His compulsion to lie borders on mental distemper and his fear of Christianity is unfounded.

Come on Dennis an Iranian style theocracy in the US of A, it will never happen. Your delusional paranoia is only surpassed by your adolescent mentality. Why is it that when truth is presented you asperse and run? Sometimes you almost pull off a good column. But somehow your hatred for conservatism and decency obscures any sensibility you may have.

Why so much hate from someone who claims to be a “progressive” and a party to the community of “tolerance”? Furthermore, in your jihad of repugnance you’ve trashed your rubric of “not responding” to the proletariat of the opinion page.

Certainly an “award winning journalist” such as yourself can take a little criticism. Or maybe you can’t take the FACT that the rapscallions of Gilroy can pen a better treatise than you.

Try to tell the truth, drop the ad hominem and perhaps this will keep the awardless hicks of Garlic-ville from making a mockery of you. Practice what you preach. Try a little tolerance.

Peter Van Dyke, Gilroy
