Try food from local restaurants at the 16th annual Taste of
Morgan Hill
The Taste of Morgan Hill, to be held Sept. 23 through 25, will feature more than 20 local restaurants in three food courts in downtown Morgan Hill.
The Taste of Morgan Hill is adopting a new format, with two of the food courts will be on Monterey Road at Third Street and the third will be in the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center. Also new this year will be a food ticket booth, where patrons can buy tickets for food instead of paying cash at each vendor’s booth. Volunteers will remind people to buy their tickets before getting in line.
And it’s not just food that will be on hand for the event. The Custom & Classic Car Show will bring 165 classic autos Saturday and Sunday, and the South Valley Quilt Association will hold the second annual Harvest Quilt and Garden Show in the Community and Cultural Center. About 250 quilts will be on display, and quilting-relatedd vendors will also set up in the center.
Other entertainment includes “Art in 30 Minutes or Less,” a showing of the 2004 Poppy Jasper Film Festival winners will be held at the Community Playhouse on Saturday. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm. Tickets are $5.
The Taste of Morgan Hill begins Friday from 7pm to 9pm with a street dance at Monterey Road and Second Street and will feature the music of Live Action Heroes. Saturday and Sunday, the event will take place from 10am to 6pm.
