A 14-year-old Morgan Hill girl reported three teenage males raped her, and the Santa Clara County District Attorney charged at least one of the suspects with felony statutory rape.
The victim reported the incident about 2 p.m. July 28 at the Morgan Hill Police station, according to Sgt. Jerry Neumayer. She told police the names of two juvenile suspects and one adult suspect.
After a police investigation, all three suspects were arrested, Neumayer said. Police only released the name of the 18-year-old adult suspect, Alexis Arreola of Morgan Hill.
One of the juvenile suspects was 16, and the other was 15.
The D.A.’s office charged Arreola with one felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who is more than three years younger, otherwise known as statutory rape, according to D.A.’s office spokeswoman Amy Cornell.
Authorities declined to state whether or not the two juveniles were charged, as any information about suspects under the age of 18 is confidential by state law.
