Theresa “Tessie” Masini passed away in Gilroy on June 25, 2003, following a brief illness.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward Masini of Gilroy. She is also survived by her sisters Bernice McHenry of Gilroy, Betty Parker of Gilroy, Dorothy Marie Page of Stockton and her brother-in-law, Ted Carpenetti of Gilroy and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Tony Silva and Manuel Silva and her parents Manuel and Theresa Silva.

Tessie was born in San Jose on Feb. 15, 1912, and moved to Gilroy at the age of 11. She attended school in Gilroy. Mrs. Masini retired from Pacific Central Paper Company in Gilroy where she had worked for many years. She was a member of Women in Touch and the Italian Catholic Federation. She enjoyed playing Wist.

Vigil Service will be on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Services will begin on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and then proceed to St. Marys Church for a Funenal Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Gilroy. Family would appreciate those who wish to make donations in her memory to a charity of their choice.
