Sept. 9 near Monterey Road and Third Street while driving a 2004
white Cadillac Deville. Gonzalez, who was not the registered owner,
said the vehicle belonged to a friend. Deputies cited Gonzalez for
driving without a license then later learned the vehicle had been
reported stolen by another Hollister man. When deputies returned to
the scene of the vehicle stop, they could not find Gonzalez.

James Michael Holderfield, 29, of Morgan Hill, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 9, on the 9600 block of Monterey Road in Morgan Hill.
Ignacia Robles, 46, transient, 12:11 a.m. Sept. 7, near Monterey Road and Luchessa Avenue after police stopped her for riding her bike against traffic.
Rafael Aparicio, 31, of Gilroy, 2:18 p.m. Sept. 6, on the 7000 block of Church Avenue.
Public intoxication
Jacob Edward Gutierrez, 19, of San Jose, 9:40 p.m. Sept. 6, near Redwood Retreat and Mount Madonna roads.
Stolen vehicle

Vandalism
A window of a residence near Cohansey Avenue and Monterey Highway was broken with an unknown object, between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
A white box-truck was tagged on the 14000 block of Monterey Highway in Morgan Hill, causing less than $100 in damage, between 8 p.m. Sept. 3 and 11 a.m. Sept. 4.
An unknown object was used to scratch a 2007 white Nissan Maxima on the 1000 block of Denio Avenue, causing $1,500 in damage, between 12 and 3:16 p.m. Sept. 6.
The district attorney is investigating a 55-year-old Morgan Hill man suspected of using a tractor to tear down a San Jose man’s fence on the 6000 block of Croy Road in Morgan Hill, causing about $2,000 in damage, between 8:10 and 8:24 p.m. Sept. 7.
Burglary
A safe and a cash register containing about $2,000 total were stolen from a locked business on the 4000 block of Hecker Pass Highway, between 10:45 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. After the burglary, the front door was left unlocked.
Grand theft
A 10-carat diamond ring was stolen from a woman’s suitcase in a bungalow at CordeValle Resort, on the 1000 block of Highland Avenue in San Martin, between 1 and 4 p.m. Thursday. No signs of ransacking were present however.
Found property
A power drill was found in the road near Oak Glen and Edmundson avenues in Morgan Hill, 5 p.m. Thursday.
Vehicle burglary
The window of a 2007 white Jeep Cherokee was smashed and a purse was stolen from inside at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., between 5:30 and 9:15 p.m. Sept. 8.
The window of a 2004 black Ford Mustang was smashed and an iPod and a GPS were stolen from inside at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Sept. 8.
The window of a 2000 silver Honda Accord was smashed and the car’s stereo was stolen from inside at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., between 5 and 8 p.m. Sept. 8.
Recovered vehicle
A 1999 red Ford Mustang stolen out of San Jose was found crashed into a fence on the 600 block of Maple Avenue in Morgan Hill, 7:05 a.m. Sept. 4.
