Thomas Allen Cadile, 59, of Gilroy, passed away suddenly on Sept. 4, 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Dale Cadile of Gilroy; his son, Gino Cadile; daughter-in-law, Alison Cadile; granddaughter, Lacey Cadile; and step-granddaughters, Dannielle and Ashley Cavanas of Hollister. He is also survived by his mother, Eileen Cadile of Gilroy; sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Tom Carter of Fresno; sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Dan Sandoval of Gilroy; sister and brother-in-law: Donna and Richard Oliver of Campbell; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Marla Cadile of Hollister; mother-in-law, Frances Sampson of Gilroy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Susan Sampson of San Jose; sister-in-law, Diane Sampson of British Columbia; and also several nieces and nephews.

His father, Tony Cadile; sister, Joanne Cadile; father-in-law, Walden Sampson; and brother in law, Stephen Sampson, preceded Thomas in death.

Tommy was born in Gilroy, attended local schools and graduated from Gilroy High School before entering the Navy and serving in Vietnam. Upon returning to Gilroy, he met and married Dale Sampson. He was employed for more than 30 years by Santa Clara County. People will know Tommy best for his sense of humor and wonderful and colorful storytelling. His wife Dale, his son Gino and fishing in the Sierras were his great loves; and in that order.

In the last few years, he became an avid golfer making new friends and new stories. He also enjoyed spending time with his sisters and brother.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 651 Broadway Ave., Gilroy. Services are under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

Family would appreciate memorial donations in memory of Thomas Cadile to the American Heart Association.
