Mustang baseball wins first two games
SAN JOSE – The Gilroy High baseball team is off to an impressive start in the San Jose Tournament – winning two straight games over Lynbrook by an 8-0 margin on Monday and Homestead by a 5-3 edge on Tuesday.

The Mustang diamondmen have found their zone and will attempt to keep things rolling with a Thursday match-up against Terra Nova at PAL Stadium in San Jose.

If they win a third game in a row, Gilroy will play in Friday’s tournament championship.

Senior right-hander John Kirkish evened his record at 2-2 by taking the win in Tuesday’s victory over Terra Nova.
