Dear Editor,
I want to start by saying this little boy’s death was an absolute terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to his parents. But also I want to say that this lady who hit him is probably having a harder time dealing with this than anyone. I mean who really sets out to hit and kill a child when they go somewhere in their car?
This was truly an accident and she will have to live with this for the rest of her life. Isn’t that punishment enough?
Making her pay CALSTAR bills and do jail time will not bring him back. If she was drunk or on drugs then I would agree that she should do some time in jail.
