Driver on wrong side of road causes accident along Hecker Pass,
no fatalities

Two cars were involved in an accident early Friday morning along Hecker Pass Highway, and each of the drivers sustained serious injuries, but there were no fatalities, according to California Highway Patrol Spokesman Brad Voyles. The identities of the injured were not available by press time Friday.
The accident took place near West Sprig Lake at 7 a.m. Friday morning, and both drivers were transported to the hospital after CHP responded, according to Voyles.
He added that the cause of the accident was one of the motorists driving down the wrong side of the road, but it was unclear whether alcohol was involved as of press time Friday morning, Voyles said.
Morning commuters were delayed for a bit while crews cleared the accident, but everything returned to normal fairly quickly, Voyles said.
