Chris Stainton went 5-for-5 with a home run as VFW built a one and one-half game lead in the first-half pennant chase. Frankie Perez and Adam Kirkpatrick each went 4-for-4 for the winners.

Robie Kramer homered and Bill Miller and Brian Stelling each garnered three hits for the Good Ole Boys.

Tony’s Embroidery (2-2) used five triples from Henry Maquinalez Jr. to ease past Team Beefy 24-4.

Anthony Lucio went 5-forr-5 and Brian Fialkosky 4-for-4 for Tony’s Embroidery. Loren Sakai went 2-for-2 and Brad Kyle scored two runs for Team Beefy.

Richard Ponce scored three runs as Victory Outreach (2-2) defeated the South Valley Community Church Men of Thunder 11-3.

Arnold Vasquez collected a double and two singles for Victory Outreach. Chet Allen went 4-for-4, Javier Huerta went 3-for-4 and Jordan Montarbo scored two runs for the Men of Thunder.

Men’s E

Walton & Sons Masonry has a three-game winning streak after a 21-9 nod over the Assassins Thursday at Christmas Hill Park in Men’s E League action.

Ian Hanley went 5-for-5 with four RBI and John Serrine plated four runs as Masonry gained first place in the seven-team league with a 3-1 mark.

George Palacios cracked three hits and Brian Rodriguez poked a run-scoring triple for the Assassins.

The Titans (2-1) rallied past St. Mary Men’s Club 19-15 behind Paul Brummitt’s 4-for-4 effort.

Johnny Ramirez drove in four Titan runs with a double and two sacrifice flies. Jim Lazarus went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Henry Juarez and Shawn Chisanskos each stroked four hits for St. Mary Men’s Club.

Claddagh Brew Crew defeated Heinzen Manufacturing 23-8 behind a triple and two singles by both Parker Hathaway and Mike Keith.

Willie Weihman, Scott Schipper and Hathaway each scored three Brew Crew runs. Rudi Groppe and John Jimenez roped consecutive triples for Heinzen Manufacturing.

Men’s CC

Con Agra Foods remained unbeaten in Men’s CC League softball by powering past Feather Haven Feeds 19-9 at Christmas Hill Park.

Con Agra (3-0) scored six runs in the top of the first inning behind a two-run triple from Jeremy Page. Feather Haven countered with six in the first, keyed by a two-run double from Dave DeCarlo.

Mark Salazar’s lead-off double helped Con Agra to two runs in the third inning. Page homered in the fourth before Con Agra struck for seven runs in the fifth frame.

Salazar went 5-for-5 and Addison Quach mustered four hits for Con Agra. Brett Scott and DeCarlo each collected a double and two singles for the Feeds.

The Platinum Roofing Slammers slipped past Los Gigantes 14-8 to leave both clubs at 2-1 in second place.

Scott Rader delivered a home run and triple for the Slammers. Ralph Ortiz had a single, double and triple, and Anthony Corral had a double and two singles. Josh Gonzalez went 4-for-4 and scored three runs for Los Gigantes. Isaiah Gonzalez went 3-for-3 and scored three times.

Lopez Investments edged Pizza N Stuff 5-4 when Jess Lopez doubled and scored on a Mike Lopez single in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Mike McIntyre sparked the Lopez Investments offense with a two-run triple. Josh Newton singled and tripled, Jordan Newton doubled and singled, for Pizza N Stuff.

Women’s C

Image & Design Salon & Day Spa-Guy’s Heating topped Goldsmith Seeds 19-8 Wednesday in a battle of unbeatens in the Women’s C League at Las Animas Park.

Chrissy Ivory drove in five runs for Image-Guy’s with a triple and double. Nicole Lara plated three runs and Barb Lemberger went 4-for-4 for the 3-0 winners.

Gina Velasquez clubbed a two-run single and Dora Olivares went 3-for-3 for 2-1 Goldsmith.

Karen Pleasant went 5-for-5 and scored four runs to lead High Voltage past Stewart Title 23-10.

Dalia Casas went 5-for-6 and Lorraine Orta added three hits and scored five runs for High Voltage. Suzanne Fox homered and doubled for Stewart Title.
