Virginia O. Garcia passed away in Modesto. She was born in San Jose, AZ and lived in Waterford for the last 7 years. She married her husband, Manuel, in 1963 in Reno, NV and her favorite things in life were family and spending time with her children and their families, shopping and going to Indian casinos. She truly enjoyed life.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Q. Garcia of Waterford, her children and their spouses, Annie Serna of San Jose, Camillo Serna of San Jose, Carmen and Walt Farmer of Kansas City, MO, Jose Garcia of Prunedale, Arna and John Ragosa of San Jose, Merlinda and John Medina of Prunedale and Johnette and Edward Jr. Guerrero of Los Angeles, her brothers and sisters, Epifanio Ortiz of Ceres, Angelo Ortiz of Waterford, Meewee Loya of Armona, Amelia Lerma of Gilroy, Manny Ortiz of San Jose, Ernie Ortiz of Waterford, Robert Ortiz of San Jose and Raymond Ortiz of Turlock. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse Ortiz, Henry Yanes and Johnny Ortiz and her parents, Epifanio and Carmen Ortiz. She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Friends can pay their respects on Monday, May 7, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral at Calvary Cemetery.
