Mr. Wayland is the managing partner of Hayashi & Wayland Accounting & Consulting, a leading accounting firm in Salinas, and is a member of the Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Wayland specializes in estate and trust planning and has over 25 years of tax, audit and consulting experience.
A life-long resident of the Valley, Wayland and his wife of 37 years have four married daughters and six grandchildren.
He is well-known to the Central Coast community for not only his successful business but also for his years of service to organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club of Monterey County and The Community Foundation for Monterey County. In addition, Mr. Wayland has served as President of the California Rodeo Association, President of the Monterey County Cattleman’s Association, Vice-President of the California Cattleman’s Association, Treasurer of the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation, Project Chairman of the Salinas Sports Complex and on the National Cattlemen’s Association Taxation and Finance Committees. In 1998 he was recognized as the Salinas Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and as Cattleman of the Year by the Monterey County Cattlemen’s Association.
