On Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26 and 27, a South Valley Women’s Christian Conference will be held at the Morgan Hill Cultural and Community Center. Sponsored by the Morgan Hill Bible Church, this event is open to all women in the area.

Keynote speaker for the conference is Cynthia Heald, an internationally-respected speaker and best-selling author. She will be sharing thoughts from her latest book, “Maybe God Is Right After All.”

Heald, a native of Texas, currently lives in Arizona where she and her husband, Jack, are on the staff of The Navigators, a lay Christian ministry.

Majoring in English in college, she taught high school for a year until she began what she calls “a self-taught master’s degree in child development, cooking cleaning and carpooling.” It wasn’t until her late-40s that Heald began to write. Now she is the author of Bible studies and devotionals, and her latest book is a compendium of truths she has discovered during her “journey with God.”

The book and her presentation provide biblical guidance about life’s decisions and tell compelling stories to inspire women to follow Christ’s command.

The cost of this two-day conference is $50. Friday’s session will be from 7-9pm and includes a dessert buffet. Saturday’s session will be from 8:15am to 2pm and includes a light breakfast and box lunch.
