$1,200 raised for kids

Sheila Martin, owner of Gilroy Chevrolet Cadillac, stands with the toys donated for the Toys for Tots program. The auto dealer was taking toy donations, as well as food donations for St. Joseph Family Center and was doing free holiday gift wrapping as part of its Ladies’ Night Out program. Representatives of Gavilan College filmed the event, and Gilroy High School’s Chamber Singers caroled for those attending the event. Also on hand was Alex Zagarino, owner of Mind, Body and Spirit, and other massage therapists from Zagarino’s company to provide free massages to attendeees. The evening included a workshop comparing the advantages of buying and leasing cars. Gilroy Chevrolet Cadillac matched donations for Toys for Tots and St. Joseph’s, which received almost $1,200 in donated food.
