Despite having just eight players for the game, the Stingers came away victorious Tuesday. The Rocketeers agreed to play with 10 players.
About 20 minutes into the first half, Andrea Kovach scored the first goal with an assist from Daniella Sandoval. The Rocketeers answered with a goal five minutes later. But late in the second half, Kovach scored the winning goal.
The Stingers defense of Emily Hilkene, Katy Florek, Christina Collett and goalie Mallory Harmel turned away several scoring chances.
