Dear Editor,

Some guy, (seen him before) at Christmas Hill had his Chocolate Lab off leash an it was hard to get by, he finally got the barking fellow and held him, explaining it was hard to do because the dog had no collar. I ask you, what was he thinking, I of course later called the P.D. and told them, and someone did come, but just told the guy to get a leash on the dog, which of course did NO GOOD, and I could not take my dog to the stream, because I was afraid of the mature male Lab. What happened to the leash law, or the dog license law? Why can’t dog owners just keep them on a leash? I do.

We have had the unnerving experience of having 2 large German Shepherds show up off leash around a blind corner at the same park, thank goodness they were social, and so is our puppy. But really, does this have to happen, to possibly spoil everyones day. We have been attacked by small dogs, one almost bit my husband, while the owner was trying to control her huge pit bull and could not get the small dog. It is TOO MUCH.
