Our family would like to again thank you for the attention given to the story about the girl who wandered away from school. It has raised concern for the children’s safety at school. We are also very pleased with the response from caring parents around the area. Some needed attention has come from a situation that could have been a tragedy.
We would also like to thank officer Dave Aceves of the Gilroy Police Department for observing an an unusual situation. Any other time, a small child at the park would not be unusual.
This incident has raised an awareness in regards to children’s safety. This article has motivated parents to get more involved with their schools. We “all” need to take up the issue of our children’s safety.
Our children are our lives and our future. Lets keep them safe when they’re out of out sight.
