Dear Editor,
Thank you, David Kaeini, for helping reveal just how misled the local Catholic pastor is! This heretic (by his public writings on the Old Testament, not by supporting the May 1 walkout charade) is the reason several Gilroy Catholics, such as myself, drive several tens of miles to attend Mass in a different diocese.
I must say I am indeed impressed that said heretic is capable of talking about something more than money, though. Back when we got fed up and left St. Mary’s in 1999, once a month the homily was, “Give us more money.”
It is very possible that the local bishop supported the charade, since his predecessor was as misled as the local heretic. However, as you said in citing examples of other Catholic leaders, putting a spin on church positions to support a leftist cause is common practice in the Diocese of San Joke, and especially so in Gilroy, in the last nine years.
