The Better Breathers Club, a support group for people with chronic lung disease, asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and their families, will host its quarterly meeting from 11am-noon June 1 in the board room at Saint Louise Regional Hospital, 9400 No Name Uno in Gilroy. The speaker will be Colin Leeland of AdvantaCare, a medical company specializing in home oxygen and medical equipment assistance.

The Better Breathers Club is organized through Breathe California, formerly known as the American Lung Association of Santa Clara-San Benito Counties from 1970 to 2005. The club meets regularly from 11am-noon at Saint Louise Regional Hospital the first Thursday of March, June, September and December. Meetings are also held monthly in San Jose and Palo Alto.

Admission is free, and new members are welcome. At the meetings, guest speakers from various health disciplines present ideas about how to to breathe easier and more effectively manage lung diseases.
