Gilroy – Danger II remained unbeaten in Men’s Winter C League softball action Friday with a 9-2 nod over Pro Electric at Christmas Hill Park.
Gabe Duenas plated three Danger runs with a home run and double. Ruben Ramirez went 4-for-4 and Ed Lujan singled and doubled for the 4-0 winners. Josh Martinez singled and tripled for Pro Electric.
Czar Construction dropped to 3-1 in C competition by falling 18-9 to Jus 2 Party.
Gilbert Ramirez went 4-for-4 and scored four runs to ignite the offense for 2-1 Jus 2 Party. Mitch Martinez and Danny Pequeno each went 4-for-5 for the winners. Robert Silvia went 3-for-4 for Czar.
Henry Calderon went 4-for-4 and Raul Bueno provided three hits and four RBI in an 18-7 Team Talamo Foods victory over the Playaz. Paul Garcia went 3-for-3 for the losers.
Co-Rec C
Frame Your Family upset Jose Serrano Trucking 19-8 Sunday to leave both clubs at 3-1 atop the Co-Rec Winter C League at Las Animas Park.
Ruben Castro drilled five hits and Nicole Villarreal added a three-run triple and two singles to spark the Framer offense. Edgar Polanco powered to four hits for Jose Serrano Trucking.
A to Z turned back the Big Kahunas 10-7 to also hit 3-1 and a spot in first place in the six-team league.
A to Z expanded a 6-5 lead with a four-run rally in the top of the seventh. Dennis Subia and Esmeralda Hernandez hit consecutive two-out, two-RBI-hits. Kenny Hopf added a three-run home run for the winners. John Jimenez went 3-for-4 and Mark Logan scored twice for the Big Kahunas.
Men’s D
Dr. Tile moved to 2-1 in Men’s Winter D League play Friday at Las Animas with a 16-9 victory over the Bomb Squad.
Bruce Hanna and David Plaza each delivered a double and two single for Dr. Tile. Ben Roybal keyed a five-run rally with a two-run single. Mark Ferguson went 4-for-5 for the Bomb Squad.
