DEAR EDITOR:
That was a very good example of irresponsible reporting on the
front page of Monday’s Dispatch. The article regarding local fire
departments vs. LAFCO was, well, laughable.

That was a very good example of irresponsible reporting on the front page of Monday’s Dispatch. The article regarding local fire departments vs. LAFCO was, well, laughable.
It only served to portray LAFCO as a bully against cowering, defenseless local fire agencies. City officials ranted about losing “control” but there was a complete and obvious lack of analysis in the article.
Why do they fear losing “control?”
It would be interesting to see the article again with commentary from BOTH sides, including a description of LAFCO’s function.
