Adriana Valdivia Diaz and Arnold Tsutomu Ichiuji were married April 5 at an evening ceremony in the Intimate Garden at the Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Adrian is the daughter of Luis and Alicia Diaz of Gilroy. She was born and raised in Gilroy and attended and graduated from Gilroy High School and the Gavilan College Dental Program.

Arnold is the son of Paul Sumi Ichiuji of Salinas. He attended Salinas High School and Hartnell College, the University of the Pacific in Stockton and graduated from the Washington School of Dental Medicine. He practices in Gilroy as a dentist.

Adriana chose two matrons of honor: her sister, Vernica Diaz Rodriguez, and her close friend Ilesenia Montilla. Her flower girl was Kayla Tonomura, the niece of the groom.

Arnold decided on having two best men, longtime friends Anthony Cagnacci and Paul Caruna. The ring bearer was Kristopher Perez, the son of the bride’s cousin.

The officiating minister was Brian Ross. It was a small, intimate wedding with 85 guests consisting of immediate family and close friends. Adriana and Arnold wrote their own vows, and Sonia Fernandez, a friend of the bride and groom, sang a solo version of Nat King Cole’s “When I Fall in Love” during the ceremony.

After the wedding, there was a reception at the Terrazza Restaurant in Caesar’s Palace, and the couple left for a honeymoon in Los Cabos, Mexico.
