DEAR EDITOR:
As a team member at Bracco’s Towing & Transport, Inc. there are a few things I would like the voters to know about my employer and friend Dion Bracco.
Did you know that Mr. Bracco has served on the board of directors of the California Tow Truck Association? – the largest such association in the United States where he fought very hard to include Gilroy’s DARE program in a fund raiser they were involved with. The fund raiser was a huge success. And because of Mr. Bracco’s hard work and determination it was possible for 700 Gilroy students to go through the program and the graduates got to go to San Francisco and tour Alcatraz for a day.
Did you know that for the past 13 years Mr. Bracco, at his own expense, has been supplying the Gilroy Fire Department with automobiles for them to practice extricating victims from crashed cars? As a result our firefighters are among the very best trained when it comes to accidents with people trapped in a car.
Did you know that Mr. Bracco in a effort to keep our streets safe every year offers a free tow home for anyone and their car that has over indulged at a holiday party or other festive occasion? And he has organized mock DUI accidents at the Gilroy High School to show the graduating class the danger of drinking and driving.
Did you know that Mr. and Mrs. Bracco help organize the Memorial Day Parade and are now working on the downtown flag project? And Mr. Bracco is raising money to purchase a trailer to store and transport the flags.
No you would not know these things the Bracco’s are very humble people they don’t hang up all their awards, plaques and commendations that they have received over the years for everyone to see. That’s why I have no doubt that Dion Bracco is the most qualified candidate and will be the best choice for our City Council. He is no one’s puppet! Not the big unions or the big out-of-town developers. He will represent us the residents of Gilroy!
