Unbelievable! The mayor says the outrageously expensive new police station “won’t cost us a cent” and then rambles on about how “future” development fees will be used to fund it.
Does this mean that Gilroy’s out-of-control sprawl is planned to continue?
What about the additional city services that will be necessary to keep up with the sprawl? Is that when the required bonds, taxes, etc will be imposed on us?
Open your eyes, mayor, the economy of our country is in the toilet and your response is to flush more of Gilroy’s future money down the drain.
