Graveside service for Dorothy Virginia Adams, 81, will be Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens Rev. Chris Stephens, pastor of Dayspring Community Church will be officiating.

Mrs. Adams died Friday at her residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

She was born June 22, 1921 in Long Beach, Calif. to Herbert and Johanna (Robracht) Mitchell. She married to Jess Albert Adams in California in 1954. He died in 1957.

She lived most of her life in Gilroy and moved to Lawton in 1985. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #193 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1193. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Berta and Tom Henderson of Lawton; son, Kenny Adams of Albany, Ore.; granddaughter, Jeri Girard and husband Mike of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five great grandchildren, Brandy, Kendra and Jason Adams, all of Albany, Alexa Girard and Zachary Mace of Colorado Springs; three brothers, Albert Mitchell and wife Florence, Riverside, Robert Shannon and wife Diane, Saratoga and Ernest Swinn and wife Pat, Yachats, Ore.; sister, Helen Sadek, Rodgers, N.D.; aunt, Theresa Burch of Pomona; and two special friends, Brigitte Landis and Calvin Davis, both of Lawton.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Kitty Imes.
