and died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 7, 2003.

Always the ambitious entre-preneur, Louis was best known for his restaurants, the La Cabana, in Alaska, the Prime Rib Inn in Palo Alto, the Bullfighter Inn in Los Altos, and the Copperwood Inn and El Camino Real Lodge in Mountain View.
Louis will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Elodia, of 52 years and his immediate family: Robert Torres, Cynthia and Joey Bulash, Reuben Torres, Edward Torres, Anthony and Dana Torres, Joseph Torres and his grandchildren: Lance, Peter, Ashley, Rachelle and Maya.
His family is proud of what he has accomplished and are grateful to him for enriching their lives.
All are welcome for the vigil services on Sunday at the Johnson Funeral Home, located at 17720 N. Monterey Road in Morgan Hill. Viewing is from 2 to 7:30 p.m., with vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at Saint Catherine’s Church, located at 17400 Peak Ave. in Morgan Hill at 11 a.m. Burial services will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Family and friends are then invited to the Torres family home for reflection and celebration of the life of Louis E. Torres.
