Sha-Boom and Elvis (Don Prieto), will take place at the North Stage from 3:30 to 10 p.m. Performances, including Five Minutes to Freedom and Johnny Rocket & the Thrust, will perform at the South Stage from 3:30 to 8:45 p.m. No alcoholic beverages can be sold on the streets; violators will be cited. Hotshots on way to Worlds
GILROY – The Gilroy Hotshots 12 and under local fast-pitch softball team is having a fund raiser to collect money to help get the girls to the World Series, which will be held in Modesto the week of July 20 to 26.
Casino Night will be Saturday, July 12, at Dutchman’s Pizza, 6940 Chestnut St., from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple. Each participant gets 100 chips per ticket, and there will be great prizes. Details:

Dig for Goddwill treasure
GILROY – Goodwill has introduced an in-store auction for many of its donated specialty items which will take place through Saturday,
July 12.
Items include a vintage zither, carved and inlaid wooden bench, blue Louis Vitton purse, “Here’s Liberace” LP and more. They are displayed under glass in the store. Shoppers may inspect the bid record and make their own bid anytime during the auction.
“Our donors receive a tax deduction and shoppers have a great experience, all to help those less fortunate, and recycling is always a great idea,” manager of the store Maria Delgado said. All proceeds remain with Goodwill in Silicon Valley to pay for vocational training, job placement and other career services for the disabled and job-disadvantaged. Details: 842-9941.
Last to the finish line reeks
GILROY – The Reek Run is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, at Gavilan College. The 10K race starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starts at 8:15 a.m. Medals are awarded to the top three places in each division. Coyote Lake Saturday fun
GILROY – Coyote Lake park rangers are offering two events Saturday that are open to the public.
Discover a land filled with subduction zones, rift valleys and transverse faults from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join Ranger Crockett on a moderate 3-mile hike to the south end of Mummy Mountain.
With fun activities and games, find out how the park and the South Valley were formed. Bring a hat, sunscreen, layered clothing, water and a lunch. Meet at the visitor center.
Or, join Ranger Julie Lee for a fun and creepy look at critters that go “bump in the night” from 8 to 9 p.m. Participate in fun activities and listen to a spooky story while eating creepy treats. Meet at the visitor center.

Bring a picnic basket
GILROY – Enjoy another one of Gilroy Community Services’ free concerts in the park. On Sunday, July 13, take in the sounds of Mariachi California. The Corvairs will bring their 1950s and ’60s tunes Sunday, Aug. 10. The concerts take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the amphitheater at Christmas Hill Park. Model aircraft fill the sky
MORGAN HILL – The Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark, a non-profit model aircraft flying club, will hold its 15th annual admission-free Airshow at its field on Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13.
