Hats off to the Gilroy Memorial Day Parade Celebration Committee for naming Jack Sturla as the Grand Marshall!!! Like many from our “Greatest Generation,” he served his country and returned to his hometown to marry his sweetheart, raise a family and live a quiet life full of honesty and integrity.
Respected by all who have dealt with him, I have been fortunate to call Jack Sturla “Uncle Jack” all my life. To uncle Jack, Al Gagliardi, Gordon Hunter, Harry Burmester, George Goris, Otmar Silberstien and all our other WWII vets, we salute and thank you for giving more to this community than you have ever taken.
