Brinkman is the son of Vicki Brinkman of Hollister and Steve Brinkman of Aromas.
The bride-to-be is a 1995 graduate of Westlake High School in Westlake Village. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson and graduated with a degree in communications. She is currently employed by Universal Studios in Vancouver, BC Canada.
The groom-to-be attended Saint Mary School and is a 1993 graduate of Palma Hich School in Salinas. He also attended the University of Arizona in Tucson and graduated with a degree in media arts. He is employed as an assistant producer by Electronic Arts in Vancouver.
The couple was engaged Dec. 30 and plans to marry Sept. 20 at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village. They will make their home in Vancouver.
