Winners score two runs in bottom of 7th for 10-9 win, improve to
4-0
GILROY – The Tomcats survived a scare from Bike Center-DataMate Accounting Monday before pulling out a 10-9 Men’s Winter BB League victory at Las Animas Park.

The Tomcats pushed across two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to improve to 4-0, joining Westwood Barbers atop the seven-team league.

Keith Ball went 4-for-4, Dave Meacham went 3-for-4 and Jerry Johnston homered as the Bikers took a 9-8 lead into the seventh inning.

Johnny Salgado and RIchard Rodriquez hit singles to open the Tomcat seventh. A throwing error tied the score and Marco Lopez followed with a winning single.

Steve Pacheco hit a three-run home run and Ruben Ramirez went 3-for-3 and scored three Tomcat runs.

George Salgado hit two home runs as Westwood topped Deez Nutz 17-8. RIch Perez and Tomas Carrillo cracked solo homers for the Barbers. Herman Valderama and WIllie Gamboa each went 2-for-3 as the NUtz struck for 14 hits.

The Enforcers moved to 2-2 and post-season potential with a 20-2 nod over the Pizza N Stuff Red Dogz. Ray Bautista hit a three-run homer in a 3-for-3 night for the winners. MIke Leslie went 3-for-4, Brian Sullivan 3-for-3 for the Enforcers.Raul Bueno went 2-for-2 for the Red Dogz.

No Soup 4 You has a two-game lead in the Men’s DD League after a 17-4 decision over Dan Keith Septics Monday at Christmas Hill Park.

Rudy Maquinalez went 4-for-4 as No Soup improved to 5-0. Fausto Padilla and Rich Luna each collected a double and two singles for the winners. Danny Delong hit a two-run home run and Kenny Crowninshield stroked two doubles for Dan Keith Septics.

John Weberg drove in three runs with a home run, single and sacrifice fly as the Brew CRew defeated the Bomb Squad 17-2. Mike Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with three RBI for the Crew. Mark Logan singled and doubled for the Bomb Squad.

Bob FIlice went 4-for-4 as St. Mary Men’s Club upset Victory Outreach 15-13. Gary Botill collected a triple and two singles, Scott Aldridge a double and two singles for the 2-3 Men’s Club. Joel Vaca and John Jimenez hit homers for Victory Outreach.
