“At this point, evidence leads us to believe that it may be a self-inflicted death or injury,” Sgt. Jim Gillio said.
Gillio would not reveal the name, age or city of residence of the woman, who was found inside a car at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Thomas Road.
Police received a call at 10:07 a.m. Sunday of a suspicious person sitting in the vehicle, Gillio said.
Gillio would not provide specific details about evidence that was found in the vehicle and would not say whether next of kin was notified.
“It’s a very active investigation,” he
said.
