Santa Clara County Supervisor Don Gage and several South Santa Clara County Fire District commissioners gathered Wednesday to dedicate the newest addition to the fire district’s fleet. The 2010 Pierce XT Arrow replaced a 1996 Pierce Dash with 168,000 miles which will be placed into reserve status. The engine will help the district’s firefighters serve and protect their residents. The engine will be housed at the Masten Fire Station #2 and will be staffed with a full-time Advanced Life Support crew of three firefighters.
