There have been no changes in two Gilroy election races after the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters released a 5 p.m. Monday update of counted mail-in votes.

It was reported Thursday that there were 3,200 outstanding mail-in ballots to be counted in the Gilroy area after the Nov. 2 election. In the City Council race, 523 votes separate incumbent Peter Arellano from Paul Kloecker. Arellano stands at 3,968 votes, Kloecker at 3,445. Peter Leroe-Muñoz, with 4,199 votes, and Dion Bracco, with 4,054 votes, lead the seven-candidate field for the three open seats.

In the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education race, incumbent Denise Apuzzo is last of the five candidates running for four seats, but only 176 votes separate her from fourth place. The count is: Jaime Rosso 6,975; Dom Payne, 5,409; Tom Bundros, 5,374; Francisco Dominguez, 5,320; and Apuzzo, 5,144.

The registrar website states the next updates will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.
