– Kay’s Kids rallied for 10 runs in the bottom of the final
inning Wednesday to defeat Farmers Insurance 17-16 in Women’s D
League play at Las Animas Park.
Jerrica Dexter singled home Alicia Hernandez with the deciding
marker as Kay’s earned the decision in the second-half opener for
both clubs. Brenda Maquinalez clubbed a two-run single in the
rally. Martha Sanchez scored three runs for Kay’s Kids. Anita Garza
went 4-for-4, Jessica Gomez 3-for-3 for Farmers Insurance.

Toby’s Girls scored one run in the bottom of the ninth inning to trim the Energizers 7-6 at Christmas Hill Park. LeeAnn Blean singled and scored on a two-out Melanie Fajardo single in the Toby’s ninth. Blean carried the Girls offense with a double and two singles. Maureen Duggan went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Energizers.

Goldsmith’s Seeds opened the Women’s B League second half with an 11-10 shocker over first-half champion Williams Dental Lab Wednesday at Las Animas.

Williams took a 10-8 lead in the top of the seventh with a three-run rally. Maureen Hughes launched a tying home run to open the frame. Gail Corzo and Melissa Wilson each singled and scored.

Goldsmith’s, the first-half C champion, countered with three runs in the seventh. Consecutive hits by Yolanda Lomas, Irene Rivera and Esmeralda Hernandez made it 10-9. An infield error tied the score, a sacrifice fly by Emily Hernandez earned the victory.

Jenny Szyndrowski went 4-for-5 for Williams Dental Lab.

D.J. Simpson socked six hits as Handmade Healthcare topped Don’s Vending 23-9. Liz Talavera crushed a triple and two singles for the Vendors.

Jeanne Ramos collected five hits as Dutchman’s opened Women’s C second-half play at Christmas Hill with a 21-13 decision over M&M’s.

Sally Wrye went 5-for-5 and Shaleen Moreno and Laura Hagiperos came up with four hits each for M&M’s.

Pacific Coast Bail Bonds used a two-run rally in the top of the seventh to trip Image & Design Salon-Guy’s Heating and Air Conditioning 7-6.

Cherise Martinez and Vicki Velasquez hit consecutive RBI-singles in the comeback. Jen Olvera registered three Bail Bonds hits. Julie Wheeler went 3-for-4 for Image-Guy’s.
