Passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, August 26, 2010, in San Martin, CA. She was surrounded by her love ones at the time of death.
Gloria was born October 11, 1928, to the late Santa Contreras (Armijo) and Leandro Armijo. She was preceded in death by her daughter Viviana Perez; sisters Dora Sapena and Viola Arzaga. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Crispin and her children, Daniel, Vivian Perez Carranza; two grandchildren, Daniella Perez and Lea Carranza; brother David Armijo, and sisters Irene Alvarado, Maxine Long, Lydia Ekendalh, Beatrice Villarreal, Martha Beardsley.
Gloria was a long-time resident of San Martin and Morgan Hill. Throughout the years, she volunteered for the Salvation Army, Girl and Boy Scouts of America and various community organizations. She loved to cook, garden and paint.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Tuesday, September 7th, at 7:00 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill with visitations beginning at 5:00 P.M. The interment will follow on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010, at the Los Banos Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Valley and World Vision preferred.
