New Hope finds life in last inning to eke out 9-8 victory over
Humboldt Brewing.
Claddagh Brew began the Men’s Fall E Softball League with a 22-12 victory over VFW Bingo Thursday at Las Animas Park.

Claddagh struck for 10 runs in the top of the seventh inning to snap a 12-12 tie.

Joey Hoiberg and Willie Weihman each powered two hits in the rally. Weihman took game batting honors with a 6-for-6 showing.

Juan Zavala went 3-for-3 and Frank Perez added two doubles to the VFW Bingo offense.

Jim Reimer hit a grand slam on the way to hitting for the cycle as the Titans topped the Good Ole Boys 22-6.

Jesse Ramirez homered and Vance Lee went 4-for-5 for the Titans. Kris Puthoff doubled and singled for the Good Ole Boys.

Ryan Mull hit a grand slam and Matt Corona and Colin Kelly each went 3-for-3 to pace Trevino Brothers Construction to a 19-1 victory over Gilroy Toyota.

Fidel Aguedo singled across Curt Peterson with the Gilroy Toyota run.

New Hope Community Church scored two unearned runs with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a 9-8 decision over Humboldt Brewing in the Men’s DD opener Thursday at Christmas Hill Park.

Bill Hawkins and Ted Tencati each singled and scored in the New Hope seventh. Tencati went 4-for-4, Rudy Rodriguez 3-for-3 for the winners. Benny Garcia tripled and singled, driving in two Humboldt runs.

Abe Burciaga hit two home runs, a triple and double to lead Abe’s Boys past Los Chilotes 24-11. Emilio Mendez Jr. went 4-for-5 for the winners. Jorge Landeros tripled and singled for Los Chilotes.

Bike Center scored five runs in the second inning and held on to defeat Los Traviesos 6-2. Roger Castaneda lined a three-run double for Bike Center. Ralph Ortiz and Chon Cantano contributed RBI-singles to the Los Traviesos offense.

Out 2 Play moved to 2-0 in Co-Rec C play Sunday at Las Animas with a 16-2 victory over Gilroy Vet.

Joel Garcia lofted a three-run triple and Art Naranjo went 4-for-4 for the Play squad.

Juan Sandoval stroked a two-run single for the 1-1Vets.

Big Kahuna (1-0) topped Team Tapas 21-6 behind four hits apiece by Maureen Hughes and Brett Scott. Jess Alonzo added a three-run triple.

Kenny Hopf powered a grand slam for Team Tapas.
