Allen was born April 25, 1940, and passed away July 23, 2010. He is a Beloved husband to Lindy, “Pop” to Rachel, Joe, Zev, Sarah, and Jacob. He is a brother to Betty Bloom and Mayer “Sonny” Wisotsky as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Allen chose to be a teacher and worked in Los Angeles and Gilroy for 30 years. His compassion and ability to see students as individuals helped so many in need. His favorite activity was spending time with his family. He did this by going on camping trips, playing games, and telling stories. Allen loved all sports, but especially baseball. When he was unable to play, fantasy baseball became a new way to enjoy the sport. Allen belonged to Congregation Emeth where he admired Zev and Sarah become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. His greatest joy was being a part of and planning his grandson Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah. Allen was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
