Two women were seriously injured early Wednesday morning when their car flew off Highway 152 at 2:30 a.m. and overturned, according to a CHP report.
Noe Garcia, 18, of Gilroy, was driving a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse westbound near Pole Line Road when it crossed across the road and landed down an embankment and turned over.
Her passenger, Roxana Limas, 25, also of Gilroy, walked a mile down the road before she found help. Rescuers went back to the scene, where Garcia was trapped in the car.
Both women suffered serious head injuries and were taken to San Jose Regional Medical Center. Alcohol and drugs were not apparently a factor, according to the California Highway Patrol.
