About 20 acres of vegetation burned in the area of Roop and Leavesley roads as of about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, June 29. The fire was reported contained at that time.  No structures were burned or threatened by the blaze, and no injuries were reported. The fire appears to have been on private property, although Santa Clara County’s Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park is nearby. The cause of the fire is unknown, according to Jim Crawford, CAL FIRE Battalion Chief.
