134895~A Christmas tree, and a taste of a family tradition
—Happy St. Nicholas Day, all ye thieves, sailors, and children.
Tuesday, our truncated family made its annual pilgrimage to San
Martin Christmas Tree Farm in search of the perfect Christmas tree.
We have patronized many of the local farms over the 16 Christmases
since we moved to South County, and have settled on San Martin for
several reasons.

Thank you for sharing your experience at our Christmas Tree Farm with your readers. It is very rewarding to know that your holiday experience at San Martin Christmas Tree Farm was a joyous one! It’s such a thrill for us to recognize familiar faces, see the same families year after year, and visit with kids who came as a child who now bring their boyfriends or girlfriends or their young families.
Although I agree with you that the flat forest is a plus, the train, snack bar, and complimentary coffee & cider entice families to spend the day, we must share the ‘secret of our success’.
We would like to acknowledge our team. They are energetic, polite, helpful, honest, cheerful, and an all-around fun staff (most range from age 14 through college). At the beginning of the season they are eager to learn, and form fast bonds with each other, making them a terrific team! It’s wonderful that they all get along so well; they are a tremendous asset to our business.
Providing all their names is too lengthy, but we want each of them to know how important and appreciated they are to making this holiday season special for everyone. Sometimes they drive us nuts, but we enjoy their crazy antics, silliness and flirting with each other, and we genuinely appreciate how hard they work! Each year(as they grow up), we hope that they will choose to return the coming year.
We’re also honored that our grandsons Joe (3rd year) & Jake Morton (his 1st year) have expressed an interest in working too, since they are the 4th generation in Christmas Tree Farming. We’ll look foward to your visit again next year!
