In a recent Dispatch a letter from Mark Zappa was published in response to a letter from a Daniel Garcia about, as he put it, a so-called rip-off by CalStar.
I rarely agree with Mark Zappa and his comments, but in this case my hat is off to you, Mark. You were right on! I do agree with Mr. Garcia that he should have gone to San Jose by ambulance because then he probably would have had an even larger bill to complain about.
Not a day goes by that I don’t thank my God for CalStar, which took me from Gilroy to Stanford Hospital and kept me within the projected 10 percent recovery for my type of operation. And my thanks goes out also to the Gilroy Fire Department personnel at Wren and Welburn, who kept me alive while waiting for an ambulance so that CalStar could complete the journey to Stanford – in the rain and after midnight.
Get a life Mr. Garcia and stop complaining. You are still alive aren’t you!
