David A. Diaz died at his father’s home in Gilroy Sunday, Nov.
14, 2004, after a short illness. He was 43 years.

A native of Monterey Park, Mr. Diaz moved to Gilroy with his family in 1973.

He attended Brownell Junior High School and graduated from Gilroy High School in 1979. He worked as a welder for FMC – Food Machinery Co. in San Jose for 13 years.

Mr. Diaz enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing with his daughter, nephews and nieces.

He is the husband of Olivia Subia of Gilroy; the Son of Bob Diaz of Gilroy and the late Terry Diaz (1995); the father of Veronica Diaz of Arizona and the late Michelle Rose Diaz (1987); the brother of Gary Diaz of Gilroy, Terry Godwin and her husband Craig of Auburn, and the late Chris Diaz (2003); the uncle of James Gamino of Gilroy, Jaymie Gamino of Gilroy and Jason Gamino, U.S. Marine Corp, Camp Pendleton, Garron Diaz of Los Banos and Christina Diaz of Los Angeles; and the great uncle of four. He also is survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends in Gilroy.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1pm, Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
